How can I contact the clinical team?
All Medical and Administrative queries will be submitted via Accurx through our website or through the NHS App. You will be able to access this on a smartphone or computer or tablet.
How can I contact the nursing/HCA team?
You will still be able to book nursing appointments through our reception team or by filling in the form.
What if I do not have a smartphone or cannot use the internet?
You can still telephone the practice or visit in person. The receptionist will ask you questions about your request to fill out the online form on your behalf.
What happens once I have submitted my request?
The team will use the information you have provided to ensure you are given the most appropriate care. They may send you a message containing a link to provide more information if needed.
If an appointment is required they may send you a booking link via text message or arrange this via telephone call.
If there is a faster or more appropriate route to care, you may be offered this. This can include being signposted to your local pharmacy or being referred to another service.
Opening times
Sheen Surgery operates extended hours every Monday when the surgery will be open from 8 am – 8.00 pm.
Tuesday – Friday the surgery is open from 8 am – 6.30 pm
Between the hours of 8 am and 6.30 pm (Monday – Friday), if you need urgent help you can call the surgery on 0208 876 4086 or drop in in person.
RGPA HUB
The Richmond General Practice Alliance Ltd (RGPA) runs the Enhanced Access Service (The Hub) on Saturdays . This service is designed to offer additional routine primary care appointments to NHS patients registered with a Richmond GP.
Routine appointments can be booked with GPs, Nurses, Nurse Associates, HCAs and Paramedics. Appointments can include baby immunisations, cervical smears, dressings, removal of stitches, health checks, quit smoking advice as well as routine GP appointments.
The Hub locations are based at York Medical Practice Oak Lane, Twickenham TW1 3PA and Essex House Surgery Station Road, Barnes SW13 0LW.
All appointments are made or cancelled via the patient’s home practice. To contact The Hub to cancel or reschedule an appointment during operating hours only (Saturdays 08.00 – 20.00) the number to call is 0333 405 4060 .

This facility is available to everyone in the area and offers advice and treatment for minor ailments and injuries. No appointment is necessary and the clinic is open from 8am-8pm seven day a week.
Think Pharmacy First
Advice and treatment
Pharmacists can give you advice on a range of conditions and suggest medicines that can help.
They may also be able to offer treatment and some prescription medicine for some conditions, without you needing to see a GP (this is called Pharmacy First) Conditions they can treat as part of Pharmacy First are:
Ear infections – (aged 1 to 17 years)
Impetigo – (aged 1 year and over)- a contagious skin infection
Insect bites and stings (aged 1 year and over)
Shingles – (aged 18 years and over)- infection that causes a painful rash
Sinusitis (aged 12 years and over) – infection of the sinuses (behind the forehead, cheeks and nose)
Sore throat – (aged 5 years and over)
Urinary tract infections or UTIs (women aged 16 to 64 years)

The pharmacist will offer you advice, treatment or refer you to a GP or another healthcare professional if needed.
Pharmacies will update your GP health record.
If you are not within these age ranges, a pharmacist can still offer advice, but you may need to see a GP for treatment.
Please note on weekends online self-referral may take longer as the practice is closed and will not look at your assessment till we are open, for quicker response please walk into your local pharmacy.

Get a free blood pressure check
You can get a free blood pressure checked at a pharmacy without seeing a GP, if you:
• are aged 40 or over
• live in England
You cannot get a free blood pressure check if you:
• already have high blood pressure
• have had your blood pressure checked by a healthcare professional in the
past 6 months
Some pharmacies offer a free blood pressure check.

Getting the contraceptive pill without a prescription
You may be able to get the contraceptive pill from a pharmacy if you need to:
• start the contraceptive pill for the first time
• take the contraceptive pill again after a break from using it
If you already have a prescription for the contraceptive pill, you can use the
prescription as usual. Or you can get the pill from a pharmacy without a prescription
if you prefer

Chaperones
All of the Doctors and Nurses in this practice are happy for you to have a chaperone when you undergo an intimate examination.
Please let us know if you would like a chaperone and we will arrange for the person to be present. This chaperone may be a family member or friend. Alternatively, you may prefer a formal chaperone to be present, i.e. a trained member of staff.
