Health Visiting Service

The health visiting service offers all expectant women & families residing in the borough of Richmond the following 5 mandated core contacts as recommended in the Healthy Child Programme (DoH 2009):

• Antenatal contact – after 28 weeks of pregnancy
• New baby review – between 10-14 days after birth
• 6-8 week contact after birth to review maternal emotional well-being & carry out infant’s routine growth monitoring
• 1 year health review
• 27 months ASQ-3 health review

• “Mover into area” contact for all families with children under the age of 5 years
